Genealogy of the Regular Grand Lodge Phoenix

The Regular Grand Lodge Phoenix has deep roots in the history of Romanian Freemasonry, faithfully continuing the traditions and values passed down through time. Its evolution can be summarized as follows:

  • July 22, 2008: The Phoenix Lodge was consecrated within the National Grand Lodge of Romania, having at the time of its establishment over 60 brothers under the leadership of the Venerable Master, Brother Catalin Florian Radut, MD.
  • 2012: Under the gavel of Worshipful Master Robert Cretu, Phoenix Lodge becomes a lodge of the obedience of the Regular Grand Lodge of Romania, whose Grand Master was Brother Adrian Mihai Ionescu - Miu.
  • Autumn 2014: Brother Adrian Constantin Ionescu is elected to the office of Grand Master of the Regular Grand Lodge of Romania.
  • Autumn 2020: Following events that led to the usurpation of the name Regular Grand Lodge of Romania, three Respectable Lodges decided to continue the Masonic work under the new name Regular Grand Lodge Phoenix. The brethren elected Brother Adrian Constantin Ionescu 33° as Grand Master Pro Tempore.
  • 2021: At the General Assembly of Elections, Brother Alexandru Costachescu 33° was elected as the Grand Master of the Regular Grand Lodge Phoenix.
